Stocking pond fish

Many pond owners enjoy the sight and thrill of wild fish in their ponds. If you match the character of your pond to the needs of fish, you can have a reproducing group of bass, bluegills, perch, trout, bullheads, minnows and more.

How do you do this?

Go to: Fish Managment in New York Ponds - a Cornell Department of Natural Resources website that details how to stock fish and solve common pond fish problems.

If you are curious about what New York State offers, go to DEC Farm Pond Fish Management - a website describing permits and where to obtain fish for stocking.
